Fully Automatic Welding Machine

Aug 31, 2022

The solar cell fully automatic welding machine (as shown in Figure 1) can automatically and continuously weld the front and back sides of the battery cells according to the set requirements, forming a battery string. During welding, the welding strip automatically feeds and cuts the material, and the battery string automatically receives the material after welding is completed. The welding methods include infrared lamp welding and high-frequency electromagnetic induction welding.
Compared with manual welding, fully automatic series welding machines and fully automatic single piece welding machines have the following advantages:
① Fast welding speed, good quality consistency, beautiful surface, and no uneven soldering caused by manual welding. Equipment welding can avoid the influence of various human factors during manual welding, such as the influence of operator proficiency, physical condition, emotional impact, etc., to ensure the consistency and reliability of welding.
② It can reduce the number of operators and inspectors, reduce management difficulty and product costs. Nowadays, labor costs are increasing year by year, and the annual recruitment is the most headache for bosses. The automatic welding machine has greatly reduced the number of employees hired.
③ The welding reliability of string welding machines is much higher than that of manual welding. Poor welding is an important cause of premature failure of components. The design life of solar photovoltaic modules is 25 years, and the modules are usually installed outdoors and need to withstand temperature changes of around 30 ℃ every day. Coupled with seasonal changes, the temperature changes are even greater. Due to the fact that the base material of the solder strip is pure copper, the expansion coefficient of copper is about six times that of silicon (battery cell). This difference means that as long as there is a change in temperature, the solder strip and battery cell will be subjected to stress at the welding point. Therefore, poor welding can lead to a decrease in component power, and in severe cases, it can lead to component failure. There are many reasons for poor welding caused by manual welding, such as the temperature of the welding table, the application of flux, the temperature of the electric soldering iron, and the proficiency of personnel. Some aspects can be solved through effective management, while others cannot be fully controlled. For factors that affect the reliability of welding during manual welding, fully automatic string welding machines can effectively solve them.
