Construction Key Points for Seaside Salt - drying Projects

Construction Key Points
Foundation Treatment: Before construction, the foundation of the salt pond should be leveled and compacted, and debris should be cleared to ensure that the foundation surface is flat and solid, free of sharp objects, stones, etc., to prevent puncturing the geomembrane.
Laying Requirements
The geomembrane should be laid from the bottom of the salt pond towards the higher part. Do not stretch it too tightly, and a certain amount of expansion and contraction allowance, generally about 1.5%, should be reserved to adapt to temperature changes and uneven settlement of the foundation.
Two adjacent longitudinal joints should not be on the horizontal line, and should be separated by more than 1m. The distance between the longitudinal joint and the dam toe and the bend toe should exceed 1.50 meters.
When laying on a steep slope, the position of the geomembrane should be basically parallel to the steep slope line.
Minimize the number of joints of the geomembrane. On the premise of ensuring quality, save raw materials. The lap width of the joints between the membranes is generally not less than 10cm. The arrangement direction of the weld seams should be parallel to the maximum slope, that is, arranged along the slope direction.
Welding Treatment: Use hot - melt welding technology to handle the joints of the geomembrane. Before welding, clean the joint thoroughly to ensure that there is no oil, dust, sediment and other debris. During welding, control the temperature, pressure and speed well to ensure that the weld seams are neat and beautiful, without slip - welding or skipping. At the beginning of welding every day, a test weld sample should be made on - site first, and peel and shear tests should be carried out with a tensile machine. Formal welding can be carried out after the sample passes the test.
Cover Protection: After welding is completed, a protective layer should be covered on the surface of the geomembrane, such as laying geotextiles, fine sand or other protective materials, to improve the water - guiding performance and durability of the geomembrane and prevent it from being directly exposed to sunlight and suffering mechanical damage.
Inspection and Acceptance: After the construction is completed, conduct a comprehensive inspection and acceptance of the construction quality of the geomembrane, including the lateral and longitudinal fit, the welding condition of the joints, leakage testing, etc. If there are any problems, repair and handle them in a timely manner.
