Smooth Geocell Installation Guide
Site Preparation: Begin by marking the boundaries of the slope where the geocell will be installed using surveying tools. Clear the area of any obstructions and debris to create a clean and even surface for installation.
Placement of Geotextile Fabric: Lay geotextile fabric over the prepared slope surface to serve as a separation layer between the soil and the geocell panels. The geotextile fabric prevents soil loss while allowing water to drain freely through the system.
Unfolding Geocell Panels: Unroll the geocell panels onto the prepared slope, ensuring that the panels are aligned properly and securely connected to each other. Use connector clips or welding techniques to join adjacent panels, ensuring a seamless installation.
Filling the Cells: Once the geocell panels are in place, begin filling the cells with the designated fill material, such as soil or aggregate. Distribute the fill material evenly throughout the geocell system, ensuring that each cell is adequately filled to the desired height.
Compaction and Anchoring: Use compaction equipment, such as rollers or compactors, to compact the fill material within the geocell cells. This step ensures proper compaction and stabilization of the slope.
