Before laying the geocell on the riverbank, in order to ensure the success of the project, there are four prerequisites that need to be noted:
1. Site preparation: Before laying the geocell, ensure that the site is level and free of debris. This includes clearing vegetation, removing any large rocks or obstructions, and leveling the soil if necessary.
2. Proximity to the river: It is important to consider the geocell proximity to the river. While a geocell is commonly used to stabilize a riverbank, it should not be placed directly in the water or too close to the river, as this can have a negative impact on the aquatic environment.
3. Correct installation: The geocells should be installed according to the manufacturer's specifications and properly installed to ensure maximum effect. This may include using appropriate anchorage methods, ensuring proper overlap between the geocele sections, and filling the geocele with high-quality filler materials.
4. Monitoring maintenance: After the geocell is installed on the riverbank, it is important to regularly monitor the site and perform the necessary maintenance to ensure that it remains effective. This may include checking for erosion, removing any debris that may have accumulated around the geocell area, and replacing fill materials if necessary.
