Age of geomembrane

In view of the fact that some field observation results of composite geomembrane synthetic materials have certain anti-aging ability in engineering application, some documents of some countries have made relatively lenient provisions on their service life, such as the former Soviet Union BCH07-74 Instructions for the Application of Polyethylene Anti seepage Structure in Earth rock Dams, which stipulates that polyethylene geomembrane can be used for buildings with a service life of no more than 50 years. The conclusion in the article "Long term properties of polypropylene composite geomembrane geosynthetic materials" published by the Austrian company Linz states: "Over 15 years of on-site application experience with polypropylene have shown high chemical and biological stability; the maximum damage to the fabric is during construction; there is no significant change after laying;... stability can be expected to exceed 100 years
