Isolating Bottom Sediment: The smooth membrane surface completely isolates pond water from the soil, preventing harmful substances and pathogens in the soil from entering the water body, thus reducing bottom sediment contamination at the source.
Easy Cleaning: After fishing, pollutants such as fish feces and leftover bait on the pond bottom do not seep into the soil and can be directly cleaned with a high-pressure water jet. This significantly reduces the labor and cost of pond cleaning and shortens pond idle time.
Maintaining Fertilizer: After fertilization, fertilizer does not leach into the soil, allowing it to be more efficiently utilized by phytoplankton, improving the cultivation efficiency of bait organisms.
Tilapia have a notable characteristic: early sexual maturity and strong reproductive capacity. They reproduce naturally in ordinary earthen ponds, resulting in an overabundance of juveniles (commonly known as "successor ponds").
These juveniles compete with commercial fish for oxygen and feed, resulting in uneven size, slow growth, and a high feed conversion rate.
Geomembrane ponds lack the muddy nests where broodstock lay their eggs and hatch, effectively suppressing their natural reproduction. This allows farmers to precisely control stocking density and release size by stocking a single-size fry, achieving all-male or monosex aquaculture, thereby increasing production and profitability.
Light-colored geomembrane ponds (such as white or light blue) reflect more sunlight, increasing light throughout the water column and supporting phytoplankton photosynthesis, thereby increasing dissolved oxygen levels.
