Geomembrane is a material used for anti-seepage, which can effectively isolate and prevent seepage, and also plays an important role in protecting water resources and the environment. During the installation process of geomembrane, it is necessary to strictly follow the following steps.
The first step is to clean the construction surface. Cleaning the construction surface is the first necessary operation in geomembrane construction. To remove any unrelated objects from the construction surface, level it flat, smooth, and dry.
Step two, install a waterproof layer. Lay a layer of waterproof layer on the construction surface to protect the geomembrane. This step is crucial for the protection and service life of geomembranes.
Step three, lay the geomembrane. Lay the geomembrane according to the relevant installation drawings and specified directions, ensuring that it completely covers the laying surface. Each piece of geomembrane should be spliced to ensure that there are no cracks or loose parts.
Step four, repair the geomembrane. Fold the edge of the geomembrane upwards, and then compact it layer by layer with buried soil boards and landfill materials to make it flat and stable, and avoid displacement causing water leakage.
Step five, conduct penetration testing. After the installation of the geomembrane, a hydrostatic test should be conducted to determine the permeability and stability of the geomembrane. Before testing, the water pressure should be reduced to the specified value, and then observe whether a uniform water pressure can be maintained during the testing process.
Finally, conduct acceptance.
